For a change I can log this one same day. Two afternoon dives at Magic Point in southern Sydney. The boat picked us up from Long Bay at 3pm, so the second dive was in rapidly fading light and on the same spot - we simply did the southern end of the site second, the northern end in the first dive. Total dive time 70 minutes, max depth 21.5m. Vis was an impressive 20m+ and the water was blue and warm enough for the time of year, maybe about 18 degrees. There was just me, Justin D and Grant, who we later discovered had only done 13 dives, so he did real well out there - if a little heavy on air. So to the dives..

The cave at 15m had 4 grey nurses, which was fair wnough for the time of day - there would have been plenty of diver traffic in the day. By the anchor there was a small overhang with 6 Port Jackson's, probably pregnant females in for the winter to lay, and a wobby just hanging around outside. As we made our way back to the boat there was a solitary Banner Fish hanging around, and we'd seen a three bar, a few giant cuttle and loads of schooling fish. The second dive was more of the same, the highlight being two easter (bleakers) blue devil fish. Prettiest fish in the sea, and just icing on the cake of a great couple of dives.

Oh, one more semi dive right at the end, getting Yves anchot our from under a lodge in 3m under the boat just off of the Long Bay boat ramp.
