Friday 8th April was my last day at the Poor Knights and this time I was aboard Bright Arrow with 7 other dives - all experienced. The seas were still a little up, rain came and went but this did not spoil the diving at all. The fist dive was into a massive cave, the top of which was in 20m with the floor in a little over 40m. It just went back, and back, and back into the gloom, were apparently it turns a corner and re-emerges further along the encrusted, vertical wall. Maybe next time...The second dive was Janes Tunnel, which gets you as near as you can get to setting foot on the Poor Knights, a marine reserve which no one is allowed on. The tunnel runs into the island and comes out in a spot where two tree covered extrinct volcanic shoots reach down to the water. You can surface in a little ampitheatre and shill out before heading back out again. The way in has a couple of tight swim thrus, and another highlight was an albino stingray, which my video equipped Italian buddy managed to catch on film.

And sadly, after this, my fourth day, the Poor Knights Leg of my trip was over. Tommorrow I travel North to Pahia where I dive the Rainbow Warrior wreck.
